Exhibiting artists Claire Healy and Sean Cordeiro will be transforming the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre’s workshop space into an art studio to create an installation which will be included in Landmarks. On Monday 16 January the studio will be open to the public. Drop by to see the creation process and chat to the artists.

PRINTMAKING SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM WITH LOCAL ARTIST FREEDOM WILSON
Wednesday 25 January, 10am – 2pm
Suitable for 6 – 11 years.
Unleash your creative side this school holiday and learn the art of printmaking with local artist Freedom Wilson. In this workshop you will create and print a collagraph plate using natural found objects. Draw from your own imagination as you arrange objects such as leaves, grasses, flowers, petals and feathers to create an intaglio print from a collagraph plate. Inspiration will be taken from the work of Andy Goldsworthy which will be on display as part of the exhibition Landmarks: Works from the John Kaldor Family and AGNSW Collection.
$66 | $60 InSight Members. All materials are included, however participants are welcome to bring leaves, grasses, petals, feathers, etc. that they have collected from home as well. Please wear old clothes or an art smock.

Come along and join in the fun with exhibiting artists Claire Healy and Sean Cordeiro as you learn to make a lagerphone. Lagerphones are a traditional Australian percussion instrument with a tambourine-like quality. Lagerphones are simple to make and easy to play so be sure to join us and you’ll be making music in no time!
