Undercover parking (access via Parke St) is available below the Cultural Centre, which also provides elevator access. The Cultural Centre is located on level 1.

By Train

Trains arrive at Katoomba Station every hour, and we are only a short journey from the station on foot or bike via Katoomba St or Parke St. We’re directly alongside the Carrington Hotel (you can’t miss the giant smokestack).

Accessibility

For disability vehicles or small mini buses please contact us on 4780 5410 prior to your visit to have the bollards removed from the College Lane corner. From this location wheelchair ramps and banisters can be used to gain access to be building.
There are accessible parking spaces available within the Cultural Centre building (accessed via Parke Street) underneath Coles Supermarkets. There is also lift access to the Cultural Centre from the two parking levels.

Was your ancestor transported for a pittance? A convict in the family? showcases the rich,
large-scale photographs of documentary photographer Mine Konakci. The works reveal the
connections between convict settlers, their direct descendants and the petty crimes that
changed the course of their families’ histories. Drawn from a diverse cross-section of the
community, sitters have been photographed alongside a representation of the item, or items,
stolen by their ancestors.
