The works provide insights into issues that are important to the young artists, such as cultural and gender identity, globalisation and climate change. The exhibition encompasses a broad range of approaches and expressive forms, including ceramics, sculpture, time-based works and animation, drawing, graphic design, painting, photomedia, printmaking and textiles and fibre.

ARTEXPRESS is a joint venture of the NSW Department of Education and the Board of Studies Teaching and Educational Standards NSW, hosted by Blue Mountains City Art Gallery.
