Print Studio: Texture, Colour, Pattern

Saturday 31 May
10.30 am – 1.30 pm

Atelier with Anjum Olmo, artist and creator of the exhibition Sari. A printmaking workshop taking inspiration from sari fabrics.

Create beautiful monoprints that are a fusion of traditional textiles and modern designs. In this printmaking workshop you will be using Indian fabrics and the technique of mono-printing; layering shapes, colours and textures to achieve dreamlike mountain-scapes. Anjum developed this innovative workshop to explore this beautiful traditional material in a new way, capturing the intricate patterns of Indian fabrics, transforming them into unique and expressive artworks. This is an opportunity to learn about the rich history of the sari and transforming Indian fabrics through the art of mono-printing. Guided by Anjum you will discover how to blend colours, textures, and patterns to produce unique pieces of art that reflect both cultural heritage and your personal vision.
