Expanded portraiture with Sean O’Keeffe

Altitude artist Sean O’Keeffe will lead a portraiture workshop which explores the expanded possibilities of portraiture through collaboration. Incorporating traditional portraiture techniques, in this mixed media workshop you will be guided in the use of painting, drawing and photography. Sean will show you how to explore the possibility of portraiture, taking you beyond simple representation. Working collaboratively to take you on a new and fresh approach, follow Sean as he takes your portraiture to a new level.

On the day of the workshop explore Sean’s current exhibition Sean O’Keeffe: Dissolution Ceremony as a complementary gallery admission is included in the price of your workshop ticket.

Artist Bio: Sean O’Keeffe is a multi-disciplinary artist who works across a range of media including video, painting and site-specific sculpture. Sean’s works have been featured as part of Electro fringe and The Blake Prize. His video work was recognised as a Highly Commended finalist in the Blake Prize in 2002 and was also acquired by The ACMI in 2004. He also produced a number of sculptural installations including the now iconic ‘Bench” which is still installed permanently in Broken Hill. His most recent body of work was born out of a basic personal desire to acknowledge and work collaboratively with peers and admired colleagues.
