Nature Journalling with Anna Barnes
Saturday 25 September
10am – 11.30am
Let’s observe and awaken our curiosity. What catches your eye? That becomes your story. Journal your story in a beautiful archival-quality sketchbook or a simple notebook. It will be passed down one day and be a reminder and keepsake for loved ones to enjoy. Savour the process, the connections and the joy by being amongst nature and spending time studying and recording it. A local bushwalk, your balcony garden, or a study of found natural objects from an urban walk-in lockdown is all it takes to start the practice of daily nature journalling.
Materials you will need to prepare:
Have ready a small travel sized sketchbook or notebook, A5 sized is good.
A pen of some kind (I use a uniball eye micro, or a pigment ink – any brand in a 0.5) and some coloured pencils and sharpener.
I use these supplies all from The Artists Store 155 Katoomba St, Katoomba (02) 4782 2866
Stillman and Birn Gamma Series Sketchbook (landscape, hardcover 9 x6)0.5
Black Pigment Ink Pen (any brand)
Faber Castell Albrecht Durer Aquarelles (I initially bought a set but you can purchase a few earthy colours that catch your eye, singularly to get you started)
