The Blue Mountains Cultural Centre will host Threatened Species Day, a free community event with talks, kids activities, an environment market and eco-cinema!

10am Anne Carey – Blue Mountains Fauna Project
11am Akos Lumnitzer – The Powerful Owl
12pm Break
1pm Dr Beth Mott – Powerful Owl Program, Birdlife Australia

KIDS ACTIVITIES 11AM – 2PM
Badge making, mask making, Threatened Species Day treasure hunt (library), temporary tattoos, education displays, show bags!

ECO – CINEMA 10AM – 2PM
A collection of short films and documentaries about local environment and bushcare initiatives.

ENVIRONMENT MARKET 11AM – 2PM
Get involved with the local organisations working hard to find solutions for pressing environmental issues!

ART & BOOK DISPLAYS 10AM – 2PM
Tallulah Cunningham’s ‘Fragile Ground’ with the Blue Mountains Swamps EEC and SOS Scientist, Deb Ashworth. This year’s winning Waste to Art Sculpture ‘Powerful Owl Nest’ made by Branching Out & the Blue Mountains Community. Threatened Species book display in the library.

Presented in partnership with Blue Mountains Bushcare, Blue Mountains Library and the Blue Mountains Conservation Society.
