Documentary Screening: Art & Soul
Saturday 7 July, 1 – 3:30pm. Free event.
Blue Mountains Cultural Centre will show episodes from ABC documentary series ART + SOUL, a tribute to Indigenous art and culture directed by Warwick Thornton and Steve McGregor. Episodes Pride and Prejudice and Beauty and Cruelty will be screened free in the seminar room followed by a Q&A session with artist John South and local independent film producer Jo-anne McGowan.

Storytelling with Uncle Lex Dadd
Saturday 7 July, 1 – 2pm. Free event.
Sit with Uncle Lex Dadd and learn about the history and culture of the Darug people through storytelling, music, traditional tools and bush craft. This is an open community event for anyone aged three and up. RSVP appreciated at reception or 4780 5410.

NAIDOC Week Launch
Monday 9 July, 9am, Doors open 8.30am. Free event.
NAIDOC Week (8 – 15 July) is a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s culture, history and achievements. Blue Mountains NAIDOC events will be launched at Blue Mountains Cultural Centre on Monday 9 July from 9am with the local NAIDOC Awards and the annual NAIDOC Flag Raising Ceremony.
