Commemorative Poppies – Community Makerspace

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 3

11am– 1pm

The red poppy is an emblem of remembrance, said to have been the first to flower in the devastated battlefields of northern France and Belgium in the First World War. Members from The NSW Knitter’s Guild and volunteers from the cultural centre invite the community to make a commemorative red poppy out of wool, felt, buttons and recycled materials. Materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own red fabrics from home. Children are welcome but should be supervised.

Free with Gallery Entry. RSVP appreciated at Reception or 4780 5676
