Set over 6 weeks, these unique art classes are for people with all abilities; they provide an opportunity to meet people outside our everyday connections. The focus of the classes is as much about making new and different social connections as it is about creating art. The classes are informal, friendly, relaxed and fun, and are motivated by Clare’s strong belief that not only is art something we can all do but it is for everyone.
Students must be able to have an attention span of 2hrs.
Greystanes Disability Services assists people with disabilities who may require significant support to participate and engage, to communicate, to exercise choice and decision-making, and for daily living and good health. Greystanes is committed to person centred service delivery and we support people to make choices and decisions about their lives and to take part in meaningful, everyday activities.
Clare Delaney is interested in space, what it looks like and the relationship with the objects sitting within in the space. I have explored this theme using different motifs including the house, human figure and dinosaur. The marks I make are an integral part of my work searching for those less deliberate and seemingly random marks. I work in acrylic paint and mixed media both on paper, board and canvas.
