Bringing together the traditional culture and knowledge of the Martu people with cutting edge new media artists from across Australia, We Don’t Need a Map features stunning paintings, digital animation, immersive videos installations, aerial desert photography, Martu objects and photographic portraits.

Opening Day Event – Saturday 6 December

To celebrate the opening of We don’t need a map – a Martu experience of the Western Desert, the Cultural Centre will be celebrating with an all-day free event.

Join the exhibiting artists and the Co-Curators for artist talks, basket weaving, live music and projections for an insight into the Martu way of life, the collaborative multi-media artworks, land management practices, bush tucker, animal tracking and the journey of creating We don’t need a map.

The Martu mob will be joining us for the opening day only, so don’t miss out!
